ok i am new to this all so im just gona post what is happining and hope that someone knows whats going wrong

also plz forgive me as i am not as mac savy as i should be (i use to do all the GTKradiant stuff on Windows eeeeewwww)

so this is what is happining

i start the radiant installer and got throug part one, now after part one is up and running, it gives a popup that says it is going to use X11 and i need to type
"/r.run" (no quotes( of course)) in X11, now i had not yet installd X11 so i left this up and went to dl it. upon downloading X11 i tried to instal it, but when i did, it said that newer versions were already loaded on my computer (i just instaled tiger if that helps at all)

if i have newer stuff why wouldnt it pull that up for me to type /r.run in?? what do i need to do to get past this point.

also are there any tutorials that are realy easy to understand, alot of the computer jargon has chainged or i have become more stuped than normal

i just realy wana start mapping again i miss it.

and also most of the tutorials i have seen are for Quake 3 and games like that, can i still do JA on my mac? i have JA on my mac now.

any and all help is welcome

Just stop, and wait for the next installer. All game packs will be included and there will be no such complicated setup work.

Really? no idea when, because we're getting new ideas all the time. (I hope you like GtkRadiant with aqua interface)

I rectify:

I am in possession of what could be the final version. I'm still discovering things that somehow got fixed: in Radiant 1.4: The 2D view moving around is not buggy anymore! it's smooth and goes where you want. Must be the way he compiled it as it seems he used some command-line compiler and stuff...!

EDIT: even freelook works better in radiant 1.4, not fully, but if you do ctrl-s and then move your mouse around while in freelook, it will last forever until you stop moving your mouse (then you have to ctrl-s again)
